RallySport Direct’s Review of TEIN Street Flex Dampers!

RallySport Direct is no newcomer to the aftermarket parts game. In fact, we’ve showcased them on our blog before. Since then, they’ve continued to expand and have cemented themselves as a top player in the Midwest. They’ve been great supporters for the TEIN brand for many years now! We’re glad to see that they’ve stuck around and made a great name for themselves.

Like many of our authorized TEIN dealers, RallySport Direct likes to race what they sell. The staff at RallySport are quite active at local track days at Miller Motorsports Park, so they may sure every part they sell results in noticeable gains in performance. This gives them the edge in being able to listen to their customers and get them exactly what they need. That kind of service is a bit rare these days. It’s great to see that they pride themselves in their work.

Take a look at their website www.rallysportdirect.com, and you will find a plethora of parts by category and brand. Being that they like to race what they sell, they’re also quite fond of making their own videos for all these products. Their What’s In The Box videos are great for customers trying to get a better look at items they may be interested in getting, but don’t know what to expect. Sometimes, videos are just easier to understand!

RallySport Direct took our latest offering for 2013, the Street Flex dampers, and decided to install a set for their very own project Subaru BRZ. The “Albino Rhino”, as it has been dubbed, has made quick use of RallySport’s inventory, and the staff have been documenting this vehicle’s build progress.

You can find their writeup on the new Street Flex dampers here TEIN Street Flex Coilover Review

Along with their writeup, they’ve done a What’s In The Box video for the same coilovers

Here’s a short clip of the suspension in action

We’re glad that they like these new coilovers. They also plan on doing an EDFC Active install and review. So stay tuned for that!

This Car is HaWt!!!

Really, it is!

Of all the cars I was able to see at this year’s SEMA show, I was able to narrow my favorites down to two- The Munsters Dragula car at Meguiar’s lot outside and RallySport Direct’s STI over at Rays/Volk booth.

I must admit, when I heard that Subaru was bringing back the STI sedan for 2011, I was excited, and I anxiously awaited the renderings/prototype. Then I saw it. Then I changed my mind a little. Then I forgot about it altogether. I guess there were a few things that didn’t sit well with me- I’m still getting used to how the back end looks, and that big wing isn’t all that cool (it is functional, though).

But then,

RallySport Direct got their hands on one, and now I’m taking back those ill feelings I had. Honestly, this is one clean looking, well-modded STI. Tastefully done, and something I’d like to have as a daily driver.

And how about that wheel fitment?

Volk G2’s on driver’s side. Hot.

Volk TE37SL’s on the passenger side. HOTTER!

So anyway, all this to say that this car is hot. We’re very fortunate to have the guys at RallySport rep our brand. They were the first ones Stateside to slap on a set of our MonoFlex Dampers for the STI sedan. Their STI also sport Defi’s new Advance BF gauges. Along with a bevy of JDM parts bolted on, I truly am jealous that they get to drive this car around.

Enough of this eye seks. You can read about it yourself on RallySport’s blog  http://theattack.rallysportdirect.com/

About that Dragula car…

…Disturbingly HaWt?

TEIN Authorized Dealer in the Spotlight

At TEIN, we work through our network Authorized Dealers to help promote our brand. Many of our dealers spend a lot of time advertising, and even testing our products out for themselves, all in an effort to get our name out there, as well as provide consumers with valuable feedback. RallySport Direct not only sells TEIN, but are also quite knowledgeable with our product line.

Located in Riverton, Utah, RallySport Direct has easy access to the playgrounds of Miller Motorsports Park. Must be nice! This gives the team at RallySport Direct a chance to really put the products they sell to the test.

Purchasing Manager, Ben Mertlich’s 2006 Mitsubishi Evo MR uses our Super Racing dampers. With a bevy of upgrades, such as parts from TurboXS, Hallman, and Brembo, to name a few, this makes quite a fun track car. Oh, and 325 AWHP helps too, I’m sure!

Owner Nick Widdison also made quick work of his ’05 STI, displaying the latest must-have parts.

This active group of enthusiasts can also be found on many automotive forums posting the most up-to-date information on new products and events, as well as offering tech support.  They also have some pretty cool videos on YouTube- check out their What’s in the Box segments. Much more informative than just staring at pictures of car parts, if you ask me!

Established in 2003  by Nick Widdison, RallySport Direct were quick to react to the new car market, making a name for themselves among the Subaru and Mitsubishi community as the go-to guys for aftermarket parts. They have since expanded their products and applications line. So don’t discount them if you’re looking for parts for your Honda, Nissan, or Mazda, etc. They can get you what you need.

So, if you’re in their area, stop by and visit their showroom. These guys are more than willing to assist. And, as previously mentioned, they’re always on the web to answer your questions. Their customer service will definitely be the highlight of your experience with them!

Many thanks to the crew at RallySport Direct for their continued support for TEIN!!!
