Tie Rod/Tie Rod Ends & Pillowball Tension Rods

Okay so you are in 240sx at a stop light about to make a left then suddenly realize you need to make a U turn, but your not sure if you have enough space.  Well if you had TEIN Tie Rods and Ends you wouldn’t be doubting yourself.

The Tie Rods and Tie Rod Ends (combined) increase your steering angle, improve turning radius and are a huge improvement from  your OE parts.  These Tie rods and Tie rod ends are 10%-55% stronger than your OE parts (numbers vary depending on vehicle) due to the higher quality material and larger diameter of the components.

The kit comes with hardware for either an OE set up or anyone who wants a more aggressive steering angle or just beefier components.

Tie Rod kits start at $88.00

Tie Rod Ends start at $88.00

(Kits are also available for G35 and 350Z)

As for caster adjustment for your 240sx you can upgrade to TEIN’s Pillowball Tension Rods.  The Pillowball type rods improves your acceleration and deceleration. Reason behind this is it controls the movement of the of the lower arms better than the OE bushings. Your steering response will improve, body roll will decrease and wheel alignment will stay more accurate.  The OE rods have huge rubber bushings which deteriorate badly causing unwanted movement and slop.

The tension rod (which are made of carbon steel, S45C) includes an adjustable turnbuckle with rubber encapsulated NMB pillowball bearing, which allows you to adjust the angle of the caster for a more precise alignment and increased strength.

Starting MSRP $290.oo

S14 Mono Flex Testing

Finally, many years after it’s initial release, the Mono Flex Dampers for the S14 have been tested.

If you own an S14 and happened to have been waiting for us to release a mono tube suspension for your vehicle, chances are your suspension is starting to look like this.

If those parts are a close representation of what your suspension looks like right now, if you’re going to be using your S14 for some serious track events, or if you just want to upgrade your suspension, then you should pick up a set of our Mono Flex to make your S14 handle like the sports car it is.

Auto-Tech Interior’s 2009 Nissan Cube

For me a Nissan Cube is a car I would not take a second look at but the Auto-Tech Interior (ATI) Cube has definitely changed my perception. Marc M. of ATI envisioned an urban transport vehicle which could be used for people with an active lifestyle. This 2009 Cube S 6-speed features a host of aftermarket and OEM optional equipment. The 5-door Cube has plenty of space to haul around 4 people which is great during the work week or on the way to the club or pub. All the while listening to the JVC audio system complete navigation, blue tooth, front and rear coaxial speakers, amps, and 10″ subwoofer. The Yakima roof racks are perfect to strap down a few snowboards during the Winter, mountain bikes in the Spring, and surf boards in the Summer. The seats are even wrapped in waterproof Wet Okole seat covers so the transition from surf spots is without delay.

Marc chose to go with the TEIN BASIC coilovers which gives him the ability to adjust the ride height while improving overall handling. This pic shows the coilovers at maximum drop which is about -2.5″. According to Marc, the ride is still comfortable considering how low the car is. The full OEM optional lip kit looks good as do the 16×7 and 16×8 SSR SP1 Professor wheels wrapped with Falken ZE912 rubber.

ATI Cube grill in black along with factory optional front lip and hood accent give the front a more aggressive look.

As you can see there is still plenty of space in the back even with the 10″ JVC Arsenal subwoofer housed inside the ATI Cube specific enclosure. The best thing about the enclosure is that it can be easily removed just in case additional space is needed. Other modifications include DC Sports exhaust, K&N Intake,

2009 SEMA Auto-Tech Interior booth model, Ms. Corissa Furr posing for a quick pic inside the Cube.

None of the parts are custom or considered outrageous which just goes to show that you can make a good looking AND practical car with the right combination of parts.
